Learning About Computer Addresses
I think that I should remember what a URL is: Uniform Resource Locator, which is like the address to where I want to go. Also, that .com and .net are sites that are usually for money purposes, whereas .org is for an non-profit organization, .gov is the government, .edu is education. Everything on the internet can never be really deleted, that you or someone can always find it again. If you put in a URL into a search engine, it wont connect you. Like having the name in a phone book, but having the wrong number. It wont connect your call. IP address is on all computers. It is a unique number given only to that computer. Hackers can get that # and get all the information off of it that you have put on it, what sites you have visited, who you are and all. Very scary thoughts! Your network has security vices to protect you from that happening!
